Mass in G minor

The Choir of Jesus College Cambridge has gained an international reputation for its music-making, based on performances around the globe, broadcasts, highly praised recordings and regular services in the College's beautiful twelfth century chapel.  Regularly performing with world-renowned orchestras and soloists, they are proud of their ongoing educational projects both in the UK and in Sri Lanka and India.  Jesus College, founded out of the ancient nunnery of St Radegund in 1496, has a long and rich tradition of church music.  This summer, the choir embarks on its first Canadian tour, and Pontiac Enchanté is excited to host them in the National Capital region.  Read more about them here.

Our summer gala event will begin with a glass of champagne as you enter the hall, and a buffet dinner served outside on the lawn between the two halves of the performance (weather permitting!).  Advance booking is recommended, especially for large groups.

Visual Artist Spotlight:

Pamela Cockcroft Lasserre, oil painter

Pamela Cockcroft-Lasserre studied Fine Art in London, England, and teaches at the Ottawa School of Art.  She paints and draws mainly from the figure in association with movement and music, including a series on Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition", another on Tango, and another on a carousel theme. Her Studio practice, based on European drawing and painting techniques, explores the relevance of the figure and its abundant potential for contextualisation. Therefore, well researched themes, often embracing music and movement, situations proper and sometimes absurd determine the trajectory of her paintings. These are nourished by a continuous preoccupation with drawing the model, plain and simple.

Byron Shepherd, Shep's Catering

"My love of cooking began as a child while spending time in the kitchen with my mother.  Growing up, I enjoyed to cook and entertain for my family and friends. Since then, I’ve gone on to obtain an apprentership in cooking along with a certificate of catering from The Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts School.  I’ve worked in different types of establishments and hotels throughout my career and have had the honour of cooking for the likes of Shania Twain and Wayne Gretzky.  Along the way, I’ve traveled to various parts of Canada, the Caribbean and Europe including Italia, Poland and Norway picking up various and diverse culinary styles.  These adventures have helped me grow as a Chef, and I apply this knowledge and these skills to my customers' needs.  I launched my catering business in 1995 and I have been in the kitchen now professionally for almost 35 years. I am married and have two beautiful daughters.  I have an extreme passion for the great outdoors.  I enjoy spending time at my cottage with my family and friends.  I'm a proud member of the Canadian Fly Fishing Team and I've competed nationally and internationally for over fifteen years."
