Journey through the French Baroque

From the grand dance music of the High Baroque to a modern day lament written in 2019, this program captures the staggering breadth and majesty of French Baroque instrumental music for small ensemble.  Pontiac Enchanté regulars will be very familiar with Suren Barry as a pianist - he has performed here many times as part of Duo Octavian with Carson Becke, and in various other chamber music projects - but this marks his first Pontiac Enchanté performance as a harpsichordist.  Suren is excited to perform alongside Mélisande Corriveau (viol), Noémy Gagnon-Lafrenais (violin), and Kerry Bursey (lute and voice), three staples of the Montreal baroque scene who will make their Pontiac Enchanté debuts.
